Mystery Performers Collection Volume 1
A collection of effects, full routines, utility items, techniques and presentations that range from comedy to séance. This 89 page eBook offers a variety of material for the Mystery Performer.

CHRONOPENDULUM by Pablo Amira
An old watch from your grandfather is used as a pendulum in this routine. A participant is asked to visualize the movements of the hour and minute hands of an imaginary clock. Moments later you open your grandfathers watch and show everyone the time on the watch matches the imagined time of the participant.

A DREAM DINNER by Bruce Ballon
The master of mystery chooses a spectator whom claims has never met the performer ever before. However, the performer claims that he has met the spectator – in a dream last night! This is proven with a divination process dependent on four special times in the spectator’s life. The volunteer discovers through party favors, flowers, and her freely chosen selections of wine, appetizer, main course, and dessert from the “Dream Café” that the man of mystery knew everything she would do! How? Because it all happened in the dream!

DRIVE-IN MOVIE .5 by Rich Hennessey
Subliminal advertising from the drive in theatre days is brought back to life with this close-up/walk- around effect by subliminally projecting an item and then revealing it in a novel way fitting the context.

ESP HAND JIVE by Mark Robertson
A spectator thinks of one of the five ESP symbols and imagines that symbol written in block letters on a board. The thought-reader concentrates and the chosen symbol begins to materialize in the mind of the thought-reader who successfully names the thought of symbol.

EINSTEIN IN MY POCKET by Mike Ince
The right audience experiences a fun, lively (if not slightly inappropriate) performance of Al Koran’s “The Trick That Fooled Einstein” that includes a twist of telepathy. Great for performances where the booker desires you to push the envelope!

FIRST MAN STANDING by Dave Moses
Five participants join the performer on stage and each are given an envelope while they are seated. The performer states that one person will stand. The envelopes are torn open and the person standing has the one envelope that has predicted he/she will be standing.

MULTI-BOB SEANCE by Mauricio Jaramillo
A small séance is proposed and the performer sits several people around a table. Three antique spirit bells are placed in the middle of the table, each one labeled differently: Yes, No and Unknown. A candle is lit and the lights are turned off. The sitters and medium now all place their hands or fingers gently upon the table and concentrate on the bells. Sitters now begin asking questions and slowly, the appropriate bells answer their questions, visually and eerily being controlled by an unknown and accurate force. The bells may be examined at any point during the routine for there is absolutely nothing to hide.

THE BLACK & WHITE PICTURE SHOW by Iain Dunford
The performer shares some details of a recent dream with two participants. Each participant will visualize something from this dream and the performer is able to divine anything the participants visualize. This simple and sneaky method can be used with many other effects.

SACAANDA by Iain Dunford
Two decks of cards are used. One real and the other is imaginary. The performer takes a portion of cards from the imaginary deck and asks the participant to name the imaginary card cut to and also to take a guess of how many imaginary cards the performer has in his hand (say 22). You ask another participant to count down 22 cards in the real deck. The card at that position matches the participant’s named card.

THE ECHOES OF THE MIND by Iain Dunford
A delightful and engaging presentation using a famous gaffed deck of playing cards. The effect can also be presented without the gaffed deck if the performer chooses.

WYSIWYG by Iain Dunford
A simple system and method supplying the performer with the ability to perform impromptu effects that are only limited to your imagination.

HANDS FREE SWITCH ENVELOPE by Harrison Richards
A wonderful utility item for the Mystery Performer. Complete with illustrations and instructions. The Hands Free Switch Envelope uses an opaque manila envelope which allows the performer to switch inserted items without ever having to touch the envelope. The unique properties of this particular envelope also allow it to be used as a ‘two-way out’ envelope, again, without ever having to be touched by the performer.

SKIN TYPE & PASTEBOARD SKIN TYPE by Dale A. Hildebrandt
In Short: A five-phase sensing-with-the-fingertips routine, that gets more and more impossible with each phase!

NOT SAND CRAW SAYS by Joshua Quinn
A close-up piece involving a simple game of Tic Tac Toe in which the performer predicts the outcome of the game as well as each move.

VARIETIES OF PSYCHOMETRY by Dr. Todd Landmann & Evanna Harris
Thoughts on psychometry with a variety of methods and presentational ideas.
