“Fictional Magic” conception relates directly to the magic in act. It refers to the way in which the art of magic shows and expresses, that is, as an act of representation. In order to represent a theater play the minimum requirements are having an actor and a spectator, that’s enough, exactly the same as it happens with a magic act (or routine).
